DUNLAOGHAIRE EAST PIER PAVING
The Dunlaoghaire East Pier is 1300 metres long and was built between 1817 and 1823.
The works undertaken involved the removal of the existing surface and replacement with a new polished surface for the entire lower level of the Pier. This is the most walked and widest section of the Pier.
This phase also included the wharf built on the Pier in 1827 beside the bandstand to accommodate the Admiralty Mail Packet, and the wider Berth No 1, which was built for ferries in the middle of the last century.
